Hot Town, Summer In the City

I’m back in London, melting ever so slightly on the sun soaked 4th floor of Partizan’s Soho office, prepping on a commercial I’ll be shooting in Capetown next month. Love shooting overseas! Can not wait. Still in post on Peaches so sadly not able to share with those who care yet, but I’ve managed to gather a whole lot of very colourful photographs from my recent holiday in Tokyo, which I’d like to offer up instead.  Since working as a director I’ve taken up photography as a hobby and urge any aspiring filmmakers to do so too.  Photography is a lovely, accessible learning tool that can allow you to experiment with composition, perception, lighting, mise en scene, grading -so many things!  I guess all the best filmmakers that I can think of are photographers as well. Must pop out to go see a band I really like at the moment but will post up my holiday snaps shortly. x
